Today we received our container of 14,700 water backpacks just in time for World Water Day! The packs came from Turkey packed in a 40 foot container. We are grateful to our partners Greif and Impact Economics who helped make this shipment of packs possible.
Now we need to get the packs to those who need them the most – the people and the children in the rural villages of Kenya. These packs have the potential to impact 450,000 children! Imagine how a simple $10.00 pack can prevent a child from being sick from waterborne illnesses.
Thanks to all those who have already donated to our Packs for Kids program the PFC staff will be out on WednesdayWorld Water Day distributing packs to schools!
